Wonderful antique European wooden ( probably tiger maple wood?) etui in a shape of acorn with two thimbles. One is faceted edge sterling silver with initial engraving and marked 9.  This thimble also has some mark inside on bottom, other initials?
The other thimble is also beautiful, appears to be gold filled (as acid testing shows).
Wooden acorn has a center core with a hole for a needle. One flaw: there is a minor crack to the lid, seen in one close up picture.  Please
