Michigan country boy moved to Detroit in 1964 and after seeing the Beatles and Bob Dylan took photography classes at Wayne State. Hanging out at the local record store/head shop he met some artist and writers with whom he started CREEM in 1969. Shooting local bands, MC-5, Mitch Ryder and national bands at the legendary Grande Ballroom, Olympia Stadium and Cobo Hall, Jeff Beck with Rod Stewart, Elvis and Cream among others.
