    Description

This Staffordshire cobalt and white transferware plate was retailed by New York City importer, Rowland and Marsellus. It commemorates the Federal Building on Wall Street in New York City where George Washington was inaugurated on April 30, 1789. This particular plate appears to be somewhat scarce. It is 10” in diameter and in excellent condition with no cracks, large chips, or repairs. There is light overall crazing and there is a very tiny, flea bite on the out edge of the underside of the plate. It is not visible when looking down on the plate and less than 1/16 of an inch in diameter. Note the green glare in the photographs is photographic artifact. Despite the minor blemishes noted this would make a fine addition to any United States Historical transferware collection. We combine shipping and only charge what it costs us to ship.
